At Tamiya Store (Power RC Models), we stand behind our 1/10th scale electric kits and 1/8th nitro buggies like we stand behind our customers. If your RC purchase didn’t meet your expectations, our returns process runs smoother than a brushless motor.

Our Return Promise

We accept returns within 15 days of delivery for most products, giving you time to test your new Arrma RTR or Agama kit on the track. All items must be:

  • In original condition (like our competition-grade chassis)
  • Unused with original packaging
  • Including all parts (bearings, bodyclips, manuals)

Non-Returnable Items:

Some high-performance RC components can’t be returned for safety and hygiene reasons:

  • Airbrush & Accessories (used painting equipment)
  • Opened Batteries (LiPo safety concerns)
  • Custom-painted Bodyshells (made-to-order items)
  • Clearance items (marked as final sale)

Return Process: Faster Than a 1/8th Scale Lap Time

  1. Contact Us within 15 days at [email protected] with your order number
  2. Complete the Return Request Form (template below)
  3. Wait for Approval – Our pit crew responds within 24 hours
  4. Ship Items Back to our Raleigh warehouse (address below)
  5. Receive Refund/Exchange once we verify your return

Return Shipping: Choose Your Lane

Like selecting between DHL and EMS for your original order, you have options:

  • Customer-Paid Returns: You arrange shipping (recommend insured tracking)
  • Defective Items: We’ll email a prepaid label for manufacturing issues

Refund Information: Full Throttle to Your Wallet

Once we receive and inspect your return:

  • Processing Time: 3-5 business days (faster than nitro engine tuning)
  • Refund Method: Original payment (Visa, MasterCard, JCB, PayPal)
  • Deductions: May apply for missing parts or damage

Note: International refunds may take additional 2-3 days for bank processing

Want to swap your 1/10th kit for a 1/8th Truggy? Follow the return process and:

  1. Note “Exchange Request” in your email subject
  2. Specify desired replacement item
  3. We’ll calculate any price difference
